Dr. Parks graduated from Davis and Elkins College with degrees in Nursing and Business Administration. She graduated from West Virginia University School of Dentistry in 2004 with a D.D.S. degree (doctor of dental surgery). Dr. Parks pursued an intense two year pediatric dental residency at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital/Case School of Dental Medicine in Cleveland, OH. During the residency program, she treated many children in-office and in the hospital setting. Advanced behavioral management techniques were also mastered during the two-year residency program. She rotated through ENT (Ears, Nose, and Throat) , ED (Emergency Department), and Anesthesia. Dr. Parks gained valuable experience on the craniofacial team working closely with special needs children . She also served as chief resident. Dr. Parks, originally from Eglon, WV, returned to Morgantown, WV in 2006 and planned the opening of a new pediatric dental practice.

Dr. Parks has hospital privileges at Garrett County Memorial Hospital in Oakland, MD and at Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown, WV. She travels to Oakland, MD once monthly at 1062 East High Street (Dr. Albert Getty's office) for consultations and preventative dentistry. Dr. Parks's practice is limited to infants, children, and teens. Dr. Parks follows strict infection control and follows the AAPD's (American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry) guidelines for care.
